Well… it had to happen, of course. It’s just that I thought it would be a bit more subtle. A gradual dimming, loosing color and turning grey, getting slow to start up (the projector… not me!).  But no. Old faithful (above left) just plain died. She (he?) had served for almost 4 years with hardly a problem, aside from the inevitable bulb change. A moment of silence, please.

OK. So that’s that. Time to move on and, to be honest, projectors have come so far in the last four years that the new one is going to blow your socks off. That peskilly bright street light outside of Trader Joe’s will bother us no longer!
