MovieNight launches New Projector Appeal as “Old Faithful” shines no more!

Well… it had to happen, of course. It’s just that I thought it would be a bit more subtle. A gradual dimming, loosing color and turning grey, getting slow to start up (the projector… not me!).  But no. Old faithful (above left) just plain died. She (he?) had served for almost 4 years with hardly a problem, aside from the inevitable bulb change. A moment of silence, please.

OK. So that’s that. Time to move on and, to be honest, projectors have come so far in the last four years that the new one is going to blow your socks off. That peskilly bright street light outside of Trader Joe’s will bother us no longer! We’ve launched a “New Projector Appeal”, by urging you to buy tickets online for the MovieNight season prize raffle, the draw for which will take place at the season finalé at the end of May. If you buy 3 tickets, there’ll be a special treat waiting for you upon your next MovieNight visit. Details here. The other two projectors shown above are candidates to replace O.F. Depending on how raffle ticket sales go in the next week, it will either be the Panasonic (middle), which is great, or the Epson (right), which is greater.

Bring it on peoples!
