In the spirit of atonement for past omissions, and in celebration of the continuation of MovieNight, we finally showed Withnail & I this week. This [now cult] film is hysterically funny, and deeply nuanced, but one mostly comes away marveling at the just-plain-hysterical Richard E. Grant’s Withnail. How could one man be so angry? How could his eyes look like that?

Thanks to the lovely crowd of MovieNighters who filled our sofas once again. Nice to be back. Aaaah.
